With so many programmes on the TV advertising health and beauty products it is no surprise that more and more people are searching online for health and beauty products. Women are the main target compared to men; this is because we all to look and feel good but women seem to take more care in comparison to men. Because of this all the health and beauty products are mainly created to target women. It must be a real headache for many women with so many different products available within the market place. How do you know what items to choose from, they all seem to say they do the same as each other but better. This is why the beauty industry is one of the largest industries online with cosmetic products, skin care products, hair products, and fragrances available in abundance.

In today’s society we have moved on from the old days where we were not bothered about health and beauty. But through most manual labour men and women worked and lived in grimy and dirty environments. Now though the market is absolutely saturated with huge selections of health and beauty products of all kinds. Everywhere you look you see advertisements about different products that can improve your health or make you look more beautiful or younger. This in my opinion is wrong, not in bad way we all like to look good and have good health, but with most young girls who are vulnerable to these types of products are becoming more and more conscience about the way they look and feel. This is making girls younger and younger starting to become obsessed with their bodies and looks having a detrimental effect on their social well being.   

Health and beauty is a way of life in most cases we all want to look and feel good. A lot of people look at themselves and are very self conscience about the way they look. They always think that they are over weight or need to change this or that when in reality there is nothing wrong with them or the way they look. But this is how society has led us all to be. This is because we see images and advertisements all the time of good looking people and with that image portrayed upon us makes us feel we need to improve the way we look. And in some ways this has led to certain people having very detrimental effects that have resulted in them becoming ill or worse.

In the past few years we have progressed so fast in the development and advances in medicine it really is astounding. To think that only a few decades ago we struggled with such diseases as the plague and other very fatal diseases and now we have the benefit of modern medicine against such diseases. Although we have advanced in medicine we still unfortunately have not found a cure for such annoying illnesses as the common cold. The common cold has to be one of the most diverse illnesses out there the strain can change from person to person making it almost impossible to create a cure.

Health and beauty products are widely available in many diverse and different styles. The amount of health and beauty products that are available is in my eyes far too much! You see adverts offering these different products that can help you in certain ways or so they say but there are also many other products stating exactly the same. But with this in mind which ones do you choose. If you want to lose weight there are hundreds of different products again if you are a women and want to look good which products do you choose. In certain ways I am glad I am a male because with all these products available that will help your health and beauty I really would not know where to start.
