In today’s society we have moved on from the old days where we were not bothered about health and beauty. But through most manual labour men and women worked and lived in grimy and dirty environments. Now though the market is absolutely saturated with huge selections of health and beauty products of all kinds. Everywhere you look you see advertisements about different products that can improve your health or make you look more beautiful or younger. This in my opinion is wrong, not in bad way we all like to look good and have good health, but with most young girls who are vulnerable to these types of products are becoming more and more conscience about the way they look and feel. This is making girls younger and younger starting to become obsessed with their bodies and looks having a detrimental effect on their social well being.
We all love to look and feel good, some more than others. Mainly though we have to agree the women far exceed the men in searching for health and beauty products. In regards to health women are far more health conscious than men are this is probably due to the many different issues women have to content with in comparison to men. Women compared to men have to go through a whole host of health issues from menstrual cycles and periods right down to sexual concerns and reproductive disorders. On top of all that women seem to have greater concerns with such issues as weight, fitness, nutrition and other related topics in comparison to men. Through this the health and beauty industry creates many products targeted mainly at women instead of men due to the amount of money that can be made from women in regards to their health and beauty.
